Executive Coaching

Executive Coaching is leadership development that is tailored to the client in the context of his or her current environment. People are rarely aware of their unique greatness. The process of discovery of the genius that we all possess is profoundly rewarding for both individuals and those who interact with them. Preferred Futures supports individuals to articulate their purpose and then create strategic actions and ways of being in support of that purpose, through the development of a Leadership Charter. This is an invaluable map for professional as well as personal development that encourages breaking through perceived barriers and leads to inspirational results.

Desired outcomes with measures are set at the beginning and used to determine success at the end of the process. The agenda for the meetings is usually determined by what has come up or is about to come up on the job…just-in-time strategic input. The higher you rise in an organization, the less likely it is that you will receive honest input and feedback internally–it really is lonely at the top. A coach provides neutrality, honesty and perspectives to expand points of view thereby enlarging the range of possible decisions and actions.

My role as coach is to provide sturdy shoulders to stand on so you can see farther than you might see on your own. I will help you GROW—set Goals, see the current Reality, create Options with you, and develop at Way forward to achieve your goals. It’s my job to take you from “already good” to “outstanding” by helping you develop an effective action plan and give you insightful feedback along the way. Rather than give answers or advice, I will ask questions to elicit your wisdom and offer choices for you to consider.
